Addressing Performance Requirements Using a Goal and Scenario-Oriented Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
Performance requirements should be addressed as early as possible during requirements analysis and architectural design. This paper presents a goal-oriented and scenario-oriented approach for qualitatively addressing and refining performance requirements. The goal-oriented language GRL[1] is used to represent the refinement of performance goals from abstract to concrete ones, eventually operationalizing them into design alternatives. The Use Case Maps (UCM)[4] notation is used to represent system operations at a high level of abstraction using scenarios.

Designing information systems in social context: a goal and scenario modelling approach
In order to design a better information system, a designer would like to have notations to visualize how design experts’ know-how can be applied according to one's specific social and technology situation. We propose the combined use of a goal-oriented language GRL and a scenario-oriented notation UCM for representing design knowledge of information systems. Goal-oriented modelling is used thro...
متن کاملFrom Requirements to Architectural Design –Using Goals and Scenarios
To strengthen the connection between requirements and design during the early stages of architectural design, a designer would like to have notations to help visualize the incremental refinement of an architecture from initially abstract descriptions to increasingly concrete components and interactions, all the while maintaining a clear focus on the relevant requirements at each step. We propos...
متن کاملData Quality By Design: A Goal-Oriented Approach
We present a design process for incorporating data quality requirements into database schemas that is rooted in goal-oriented requirements analysis techniques, developed in the Requirement Engineering community over last 15 years. Goal-oriented approaches (i) offer a body of notations, techniques and processes for modeling, analyzing and operationalizing quality requirements; (ii) support repre...
متن کاملComparing the comprehensibility of requirements models expressed in Use Case and Tropos: Results from a family of experiments
Context: Over the years, several modeling languages for requirements have been proposed. These languages employ different conceptual approaches, including scenario-based and goal-oriented ones. Empirical studies providing evidence about requirements model comprehensibility are rare, especially when addressing languages that belong to different modeling approaches. Objective: This work aims to c...
متن کاملAn enhanced reliability-oriented workforce planning model for process industry using combined fuzzy goal programming and differential evolution approach
This paper draws on the “human reliability” concept as a structure for gaining insight into the maintenance workforce assessment in a process industry. Human reliability hinges on developing the reliability of humans to a threshold that guides the maintenance workforce to execute accurate decisions within the limits of resources and time allocations. This concept offers a worthwhile point of de...
